Introductory Touch Typing Course - Computer Keyboard Skills.

This is our entry-level programme and it is aimed at getting you to an accurate touch typing speed of 15-25 words per minute. It's the starting point for your keyboard skills development and the starting point for secretarial training or IT skills.

The course is web-based, so you
can study anywhere, visiting our
High Holborn or Notting Hill training
centres to take your exam.

Or you can study the whole
course at our centres if you prefer.

A Note About Learning To
Touch Type.

While we offer a two day classroom based touch typing course, it does require a lot of practice to develop the same skill level as Computer Keyboard Skills.

This is because because you need about 25 hours of practice to develop the speed and accuracy, and therefore the value, that this course offers.

In addition, there are a number of programmes on the internet promising to teach you to touch type in two days but in our experience they simply don't work.

Computer Keyboard Skills acknowledges that there's a lot to learn and remember.

In addition, most people's fingers just get too tired when they try to learn in other ways.

We believe it is almost impossible to do yourself justice in such a short time.

The average student completes our computer keyboard skills course in approximately 25 hours and we recommend spreading this over at least a couple of weeks.

After all, you want your training to last a lifetime, not to dissipate in a matter of weeks.
