Many people are unsure about their current level of ability, so we usually begin by asking whether you look at your fingers when you type and whether you know which are the home keys.

If it's clear that you can already touch type, we'll often invite you in for an informal speed test to see what remains to be done to get your speed up to 70 words per minute. It's fun and unpressured to take the test so don't hesitate to ask us to time you!

Or maybe you're already an experienced keyboard user and you need to learn to audio type - we have two programmes available.
