Computer Keyboard Skills - An Introductory Touch Typing Course.
The course is web-based, so you can study anywhere, visiting our High Holborn or Notting Hill training centres to take your exam. Or you can study the whole course at our centres if you prefer. Most people prefer to study at our centres because we can keep an eye on your posture, finger position and wrists, so it's very motivational! And don't forget that you can start this course at any time, even today if you wish. You'll enjoy 24 teaching units, submitting your work on-line through our Learning Management System so you can track your progress at any time. You'll learn everything from the importance of your seating position, the use of the "home keys" and everything you'll need to type without looking at your fingers! A Note About Learning To Touch Type. A lot of people ask us whether they can complete our Computer Keyboard Skills course intensively, in a couple of days. There are a number of programmes on the internet promising to teach you to touch type in two days but in our experience they simply don't work. That's because there's a lot to learn and remember. In addition, most people's fingers just get too tired when they try to learn this way. We believe it is almost impossible to do yourself justice in such a short time. The average student completes our computer keyboard skills course in approximately 25 hours and we recommend spreading this over at least a couple of weeks. After all, you want your training to last a lifetime, not to dissipate in a matter of weeks.
