Keyboard Skills - An Introduction To Touch Typing . When you think about it, most jobs today involve computers and most of us struggle along with two or three fingers, making lots of mistakes as we try to use the keyboard. It's the same whether you're an administrator, a secretary or any kind of computer user. A Note About Learning To Touch Type. A lot of people ask us whether they can complete our Computer Keyboard Skills course intensively, in a couple of days. There are a number of programmes on the internet promising to teach you to touch type in two days but in our experience they simply don't work. That's because there's a lot to learn and remember. In addition, most people's fingers just get too tired when they try to learn this way. We believe it is almost impossible to do yourself justice in such a short time. The average student completes our computer keyboard skills course in approximately 25 hours and we recommend spreading this over at least a couple of weeks. After all, you want your training to last a lifetime, not to dissipate in a matter of weeks.
