How We Deliver Training
We provide training in 3 different ways:
- Self-paced training, where individuals work at their own pace with an audio tutor, workbook and PC, and on site trainers at one of our training centres.
- Tutor led classes at our training centre in London Holborn, or at your premises for groups of 10 or more.
- Online from work or home.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get my team trained when I can’t get them all in the same place at the same time?
Our self-paced learning methodology means that each of your students can start when you specify, and study at times to suit their workload and other commitments.
We’re open until 8pm weekdays and until 4pm on Saturday, so it’s really convenient to fit your training in around work.
Plus, there is the option of home study for even more flexibility.
How can I be confident in the quality of the training?
Whether you choose self-paced training, seminars or online learning, you’ll be relying on 175 years of training expertise – when Sir Isaac Pitman launched his revolutionary shorthand system in 1831, he set the standard for training in office skills.
In addition, many of our programmes, such as our Legal Secretarial, Medical Secretarial and Bookkeeping courses are accredited by external bodies.
And best of all, our training centres in London and Croydon have some of the highest pass rates for the highest standards of Pitman Training exams.
Are your courses accredited?
Pitman Training centres in the UK are recognised by CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) as training providers for Continual Professional Development (CPD).
We’re also a Microsoft IT Academy, meaning all of our Microsoft Office courses offer Microsoft certificates at no extra cost.
And, Pitman Training is leaders in office skills training, and the Pitman Training name is recognised amongst recruiters and top employers across the UK.
How much does your training cost?
This all depends on what course you choose to do. As the majority of our courses can be tailored to suit the needs and skill level of each person, prices depend on the individual.
For instance, if you are already skilled in one module in a diploma, you may be able to only take the exam in that subject, which will lower the cost.
We recommend having a chat with one of our expert Course Advisors, who will be able to assess your skills, talk to you about module options, and work out your unique diploma price.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes – ask our Course Advisors about this month’s special promotions.
Where are you based?
We’re based in London’s High Holborn, Notting Hill and Croydon.
Can’t get to one of our centres? No problem! Ask your Course Advisor about our distance learning options.
What are your opening hours?
Each centre varies – but all centres are open during the day, in the evening and on Saturdays. Visit our locations page for more information.
