Pitman Training London (Notting Hill & High Holborn) & Manchester Adds IBM Lotus Skills Training.
When we were looking to add courses on a software application with a large installed base, someone mentioned adding IBM Lotus to our training schedule.
We would have liked to implement a self-paced training methodology for this to blend with our Pitman Training courses but for a variety of reasons this was impractical, so we were delighted to learn that we could become a course booking agent for IBM Training.
Our London Notting Hill, London Holborn and Manchester units compete to be the best learning centre around and adding a professional organisation such as IBM to our roster was an obvious fit for us and our students.
The IBM range of courses is huge, so we have begun by marketing Lotus courses for the administrator, application development professional and server expert.
We were pleased to learn that Lotus also means offering Domino courses, Lotus Notes training and WebSphere education.
Soon, we’ll add Cognos and Tivoli courses too.
These are all classroom based courses rather than elearning and are run by IBM or its partners and we simply have to book students onto the IBM Lotus course training schedule and do the administration on behalf of the students.
This is a departure for us as our Pitman Training courses are mostly self-paced, delivered at our training centres and are based around Microsoft technology.
In particular, our Executive PA diploma programme is the top of the secretarial training tree and we are also number one for legal secretarial courses, medical secretarial courses as well as general secretarial.
On the bookkeeping course side, we’re very proud of our Accounting Technician diploma which has just been upgraded to allow students to apply for exemptions against AAT qualifications, as well as pre-qualifying them for IAB exams.
All of these courses have a strong core of Microsoft Office applications training and of course we offer individual course subjects such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook at beginner to intermediate and also advanced level.
So with the addition of the Lotus courses, we now cover quite a spectrum of vocational and technical training, for people looking for self-paced training or those who want to take a class.
Ultimately the mission of our business is to help people develop the skills they need to get into better jobs or to gain promotion at work and our students have certainly enjoyed great success in this at organisations as divers as the United Nations, Miss World and the NHS, among many others.
