Why study Bookkeeping at Pitman?

Book Keeping and AccountancyWhen people come to see our Course Advisors and want to take up a Bookkeeping course or diploma are often looking to increase their employability, or to make sure they’re up to date with the latest in computerised Bookkeeping.

Aside from this, what we find is that they’re busy people, and just don’t have the time to attend regular classes with a fixed date and time due to a busy work schedule or daily routine.

But with Holborn Training, you don’t need to worry about missing a class because you had to stay late at work, or because your babysitter cancelled at the last minute, because you decide when you study. That’s right; our courses are completely flexible, so you can come into one of our centres and study when you want, at your own pace.

A long established educational institution, Pitman Training is one of the world’s oldest training providers in the world, and the Pitman name is testament to employers of your real practical ability to work with ledgers, prepare a trail balance, read a balance sheet or calculate profit and loss.

What’s great about our training is that it’s practical, and the theory and reading is limited, allowing you to really put into practice the skills that you will be using in a future bookkeeping job. Out past students have found that the Pitman learning method really is second to none when it comes to stimulating real working situations.

Flexible Bookkeeping Courses

One of the things our students love about studying with us is the amazing flexibility they have to complete their studies. They find it’s really beneficial to be able to work their learning around their day to day routine, and our opening hours are great if you want to come and study in the evenings or on Saturdays.

In our London centres, (Holborn and Notting Hill) you can study till late on Monday to Thursday, from 09:00 – 20:00, on Friday from 09:00 – 16:30, and on Saturday from 10:00 – 16:00.
Our Manchester centre opens from 09:00 – 18:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 09:00 – 20:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 09:00 – 16:30 on Friday, and from 10:00 – 16:00 on Saturdays.

So if you want to study a part time bookkeeping course with us, you choose the hours. This could mean as little as two hours a week or as many as 12 hours – it really is up to you!
